he purpose of the 4th Day Ministry is to: Discern ways to encourage Emmaus members & Community churches to accomplish continual Spiritual renewal through God’s people, in God’s churches, in obedience to God’s will.

 The 4th Day Process is to work with the local Emmaus Board to help identify what must be done by the Community in its 4th Day to more effectively accomplish Spiritual renewal.

4th Day Mission...

The Emmaus 4th Day Ministry shall be an instrument for spiritual support to 4th Day Pilgrims and their churches - striving to keep the flame of renewal alive, and helping to provide continuing opportunities to know God’s will.

4th Day Vision...

  • Ensure God is in charge. 
  • Establish ministries to 4th Day Pilgrims, their Churches, and the larger believing Community.
  • Support spiritual renewal, foster partnership between Pastors and laity, and reflect an ecumenical heart.
  • Encourage active 4th Day Pilgrim participation in their local church.

4th Day Philosophy...

(God’s Process to Accomplish His Vision for the Fredericksburg 4th Day Ministry)

  • Help create spiritually receptive environments wherein 4th Day Pilgrims and their Churches might hear the will of God.
  • Use the elements of Emmaus – Teaming Weekends, Gatherings, Reunion Groups - to open 4th Day Pilgrim hearts to God.
  • Use Pilgrims and Clergy in partnership to open church hearts to God.
  • Establish an on-going 4th Day Ministry.
  • Support the local Emmaus Board.

  • Define the 4th Day Ministry Mission and Focus, and the Concept of church Spiritual Renewal.
  • Get the word out more effectively about 4th Day Ministry products.
  • Help support the Emmaus Teaming process and guidelines.
  • Encourage Community 4th Day involvement in Emmaus.
  • Complete the Pastor Survey.
  • Help establish a Community Data Base.
