The Walk to Emmaus - Fredericksburg, VA

Welcome to our Fredericksburg Virginia Emmaus On-Line Community.  We hope you will take the time to browse through our site and get to know us. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us through the links at the top or bottom of the page.  The Upper Room Emmaus of the Greater Fredericksburg Area is a large and diverse Community of believers from churches throughout the Fredericksburg, VA area and surrounding cities, towns and counties.

Face to Face Encounter Events

Dates: April 30, May 2, 7 and 9 from 10am - 4:30pm
Location: Fredericksburg United Methodist Church
Candlelight: Tuesday, May 7, 2:00 PM --- Community gathers in FUMC sanctuary at 2:00 PM to prepare for candlelight with the Pilgrims. We have battery votives you can use, or you can bring your own battery candle. FUMC has a parking lot on Charlotte Street across from the Post Office employee parking lot. Parking is limited so carpooling is recommended. For those parked behind the church in the Charlotte Street lot, someone will direct you to the front of the church to enter the sanctuary. Some parking is available on the streets around the church but be mindful that much of it is permit parking only.
Closing: Thursday, May 9, 2:45 PM --- Community gathers in sanctuary for closing. Same parking instructions as for Candlelight.

Our Face to Face Encounter will be held April 30, May 2, May 7 and May 9, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM at Fredericksburg UMC. Registration forms are available from Kay Phillips (Encounter Lay Director) 757-615-3996 or Bob Pickett (Board Representative) 540-834-3068. The form and $30.00 registration fee can be mailed to the address on the form. A Pilgrim can have a sponsor or can sponsor themselves. We love for our Pilgrims to have sponsors to help with agape and for their support but this is not a requirement. If you have the name of a Pilgrim on your heart, tell them about Face to Face and pray that God will touch them. Please get registration forms in as soon as possible.

Day Four Restore:

June 1, 2024 at Fredericksburg UMC

Day Four Restore is a one-day retreat model designed to refresh the spirit and renew the commitment of those who have attended any Fourth Day movement event. This event supports the spiritual growth of church leaders and empowers those leaders to expand their ministries beyond the Fourth Day community.

Day Four Restore is similar to a day in the Walk to Emmaus or Face to Face model. There will be a series of talks or meditations with periods of time to discuss the topic of the talk or meditation. Lunch will be provided and yes, there will be a snack table.
